Check out our home for the month.

See Us In Cambridge Marina
We’re staying in the Cambridge Municipal Marina on the eastern shore of Maryland for July.
Our slip faces a large park. Throughout the day, people walk by. They peer in the boat, make kissy sounds at Honey, and strike up conversations.
Honey and I are extroverts who just love it. But other family members think we’re crazy.
The widget in the sidebar shows you exactly where we are. So if you find yourself on Maryland’s eastern shore, stop by. Honey and I love pop-ins.
Your Turn: Would you enjoy having such a public home? Would your dog?
I’ll visit soon!
We’d love to see you anytime! Get in touch when you know your schedule.
A whole month in one place?! I know I won’t be up there; but hopefully you’ll get lots of entertaining visitors! Isn’t your sister in that area? Or is it Mike’s family? I can’t keep track of my own family. LOL. Either way, enjoy it!
You have a great memory! Yes, my sister lives here. And we’re hanging out with all the interesting people we’ve met in previous stays here.
My dogs would bark…constantly…without stopping…we would wear out our welcome.
Honey only ever barks at us, luckily. I think…
I would love it! I love meeting people, but I think the bipeds might get tired of it after a while.
I wish we were closer so that I could stop by.
We would love to meet you and your bipeds. But I’m afraid if you were sitting in our cockpit, you’d get even more attention than Honey does. Big dogs do draw a lot of looks. π
Here’s hoping loads of swell swaggers drop by and visit with you and Honey!
I do sometimes miss living in a community. But as we get reacquainted with our dog walking friends from the park, it almost feels like coming home.
If only Tallulah and I could find the car keys, and reach the pedals, we’d make a break for it and head your way! We have a back gate that faces the sidewalk so we’re always on view and eager to meet and greet. Our humans say that perhaps we’re a little too eager and a little too vocal, but that’s just their opinion. Have a fabulous July in Cambridge Marina, and spread that Golden love!
You mean after watching all those Subaru commercials with driving golden retrievers you can’t drive yet? π
Honey thinks you’re very good to be neighborhood greeters. The world would be a much happier place if everyone was greeted by a golden retriever each day.
That would make me crazy. The only one who would enjoy it would be my cat Jake, he’s so nosey.
You’re with the majority, Edie. But Jake would be welcome to join us to watch the world go by. Honey loves, and is very gentle with, cats.
We are a bit far away to pop by. It wouldn’t be for my mom as she doesn’t like people right up by the house or yard which is why she says she would never have a corner lot or a lot next to a path or trail. Everyone is different. We would love people coming by all the time.
Your mom is lucky you and your sisters didn’t pick out the house. You mom would probably never get a moment’s rest with strangers happening by all day.
I wouldn’t mind it, but my Scarlett could never live there! She is such a social dog, she would be hopping off to say hello every time someone walked by!
Scarlett would be a big hit here. There are plenty of people who would be happy for her to come greet them. π
The Boys would love it- Doodle Dad would love it, I think I’d be the first person to get a little tired though. Enjoy your old stomping grounds.
Well, you do get an awful lot of attention when you’re out and about with Harley and Jaxson. You probably get your fill of company just walking to the corner. π
No way in hell you catch me with an open door like that! lol! And the dogs would just bark nonstop at everyone. OH the headache!
Hope you have a great stay and get plenty of visitors to fill your extrovert needs. π
What? Strangers staring at you and dogs barking in your ears isn’t fun? π
Woof!
It sounds like you’ve found a wonderful place to spend some time! As long as there’s at least one – or two – extroverts in the family, then someone can handle the greetings while the introverts hide out. That’s how we do it around here anyway (hubby is the extrovert)! π
