If Jackie Chan Was a Pit Bull…

August 17, 2012 //  by Pamela

he’d be this dog:

By the way. Does anyone know anything about this dog? I know his name is Tret and that he lives in the Ukraine.

If anyone has a link to his back story, I’d love to read it.

Now excuse me. But I have to go scale a building.

What’s the most athletic thing you’ve ever seen your dog do?

Isn’t that amazing? We’ve been seeing his videos for a while now, and are constantly amazed by what he does!

Wow! It’s like he’s the Bionic Dog!

He’s an amazing dog, I just love this video.

I’ve seen Delilah go up a practically vertical rock once, which totally freaked me out, but it didn’t seem to bother her in the least.

Sampson once got about four rungs up on a ladder before I stupidly told him to get down that dogs don’t climb ladders. πŸ™

I wonder if I could teach that with the clicker? πŸ™‚

I love this video. And this dog. πŸ™‚

Bella is very athletic. She’s an amazing jumper and I can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen her jump over things and just stood there with my mouth hanging open over her prowess. (She jumps over me when I’m playing with her all. the. time.)

She’s also an amazingly agile runner who can stop on a dime and change direction in mid-air. She can’t out-run everyone but she can certainly out-maneuver most. (That’s how she and her Borzoi buddy, Gus, keep the playing field level.)

FTR, Beau climbed a fire-tower ladder once. Had a heck of a time getting him down. He was also very athletic. (Not sure why uncoordinated, klutzy, un-athletic me has ended up with such athletic dogs?)

A parkour dog! How cool! No one in this family can do that, sadly. The Other Half thinks Georgia is a bit of a mountain goat. What a joke.

    Cool dog!

Our last dog was three-legged, and she could still run like the wind. Lots of times at the beach people would say “Wow, I didn’t realize she was 3 legged until she stopped.” She had quite the fan base at the beach!

No, I don’t know anything about him either, but have watched all of his videos multiple times. I saw a website once that I think was created by Tret’s owner. It was about how to teach a dog to do these things. Of course, at the time, it was still under construction.

Tret is pretty awesome. Talk about no fear! I don’t know if I’d really want to encourage my dog to be so free. She terrifies me enough as it is!

The theme song is definitely “Don’t Fence Me In.”

(Would be very interesting to learn the training techniques.)

Shiloh went up on the roof – my vet, who was visiting, said, Bobbie, there’s a dog on the roof; I immediately knew who it was!
Tret is an Extreme Agility dog – plus, the world is his playground! I need to check out more of his videos.
I think Justus and I will go for an adventurous walk….

His agility is really quite beautiful. A couple of those feats I could hardly believe possible!

Wow! That is more than impressive, and I hadn’t seen this video yet. Couldn’t believe where he like walked up that wall.

As for mine, Toby and Leah are no where nears that athletic, but I’ve seen Meadow leap a 3 1/2 foot gate from a stand still and I’ve heard she can scale a seven foot one. (Still not as amazing as that dog in the video though!)

What a cool dog! I wonder how much Tret just does and how much he was taught. Just curious. I’ve seen Zappa jump straight up higher than me (maybe 6 feet) from a stand still.

    Wow.

One day we were walking along on the back side of a strip mall (oh, the things we do for fearful dogs) when Silas politely climbed up the chest-high retaining wall without ever breaking his stride. I was walking along, then there he was on top of the wall. When I got to the other end, he came back down. This is his only “extreme agility” feat. I’ve always counted it as one of my blessings that he’s never realized how high he can jump.

I’ve seen several of Tret’s videos! He must be quite a dog.

I’ve seen Bunny leap over the back of our couch from a standstill, hike fifteen miles through the rain once and run like a little demon at the dog park on occasion. Kuster climbed over the baby gate the very first night we had him home at eight weeks old and well, that boy can leap like a dolphin. Blueberry…doesn’t believe in exerting herself. Morgan is athletic, but I haven’t seen her doing anything outstanding.

How funny that you should post a video about him. My brother texted me the other day and suggested him for a Favorite Video Friday video. I told him I thought he was pretty well known since he appeared on Life With Dogs. Damn! I should have used him!

Hilarious dog! thanks for linking to the video. My dog does… nothing like that at all πŸ˜› He’s more of a four-feet-on-the-ground kind of guy πŸ˜›
