Dog Loves Fish, In a Good Way

September 7, 2012 //  by Pamela

This reminded me of Honey greeting some of the neighborhood cats. And it’s making me reconsider what I thought I knew about fish.

Does your dog have any interspecies friendships?

That is adorable, I wonder if the fish was nibbling at the dog?

That’s so cute!! For some reason the “are you my mother?” line came to mind! 🙂

Cute! I’m pretty sure Rita would have freaked out if that fish swam up to her. But maybe the promise of a soggy tortilla chip would make her consider checking it out.

The poor fish must be so lonely. I’ve heard of swimming with dolphins, but kissing with fish has somehow the same feeling.

I might be able to guess at what the dog is thinking, but I have no idea about the fish. It’s definitely fascinating to watch, though. Some fish, I think, have more cognitive abilities than others. It may have to do with size. We had an Oscar tank at the seafood restaurant I worked at during university. Those fish were huge and they would get angry if they didn’t get fed on schedule. They’d start splashing around and knocking everything over. I can’t really see wee tetras doing the same.

    Aww.

Silas loves fish, too. The other way.

I was wondering if the fish was trying to get the food out of the dog’s mouth. It is rather cute, though!
