What Are You Thankful For?

November 26, 2015 //  by Pamela

What is Honey thankful for?

Honey the golden retriever is thankful.

And I’m thankful for her.

Your Turn: It’s American Thanksgiving. What are you thankful for?

I am thankful that despite being un-employed these last few months, I have had the resources that allowed me not to panic financially. I am also thankful for the gorgeous fall weather this year that I have been able to enjoy everyday since I am no longer tied to a desk and car 10 hours a day!

Happy Thanksgiving! Are you cooking a turkey in your galley? πŸ˜‰

We’re thankful for the warm weather too. I hope it hangs on a little while longer.

We had Thanksgiving with my sister in MD on Tuesday before setting off Wednesday. I could probably roast a chicken in my oven but not a turkey. But we settled for soup instead. πŸ™‚

Today I’m thankful it’s cool enough I can put the fireplace on…make pretend it’s winter here.

I’m guessing you don’t enjoy the fireplace enough to move back to NY? πŸ™‚

I’m Thankful that I’m sitting on our sofa, surrounded by our dogs, in a warm home, with a fully belly.

    Happy Thanksgiving.

Heck, with 4 dogs, you don’t need to make the house quite so warm, do you? πŸ™‚

Not a lot of grass on the boat! I bet you have to go out today, or does the boat have a big enough oven for a turkey?

Actually, we spent Thanksgiving on the move. We don’t want to waste any time getting south.

I could probably roast a chicken in my oven. But not a turkey. I have some thoughts on making a solar oven though. I could probably bake a turkey in that if I had enough sunshine.

The dogs are thankful for a big yard to run around and play in, and I am thankful for them, our cat Samantha, and my hubby (not necessarily in that order?).
    Happy Thanksgiving!

I guess the thankfulness order changes from day to day? πŸ™‚

Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and Honey got a spot of grass to roll around in. πŸ˜‰

She did eventually–after a long day on the water.

If we ever do multi-day passages, we’re going to have to get Honey a piece of turf for the cockpit. πŸ™‚

I am thankful for family and friends, for the roof over our heads, food in our fridge and in the dogs’ bowls, and clothes on our backs. But most of all, I’m thankful for the husband who drives me crazy and the dogs, and especially for all the times I’ve made it back home safe and sound after being away, even if just for a trip to the store.

You have a great list of things to be thankful for. May you be grateful every day.

I’m thankful for my healthy pups & my very own dog walking business I finally launched earlier this year. Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving on the water!

Thanksgiving was just soup. But it was great being on the water. πŸ™‚

Hey, soup can be good, too πŸ˜‰ Here’s to your first Thanksgiving on the water!

I enjoyed a lovely Thanksgiving afternoon with friends, both older and brand new. We watched “The Nativity,” and had wonderful conversation. I then went home in the dark to my dogs – too many, but everyone special. Happy Thanksgiving. Friday? #optoutside!

      Every dog a blessing?

Glad you had a lovely holiday! And yep, we were outside on Friday. It’s much better than shopping. πŸ™‚
