That is a good perspective. I think when it comes to puppy mills educating possible buyers would also help. I am not sure regulation alone will ever wipe them out. But lack of demand would.

Great article. We have come a long way and I believe we will continue to make progress. The recent studies on dog behavior using MRIs was a nice little push towards realizing these animals are a lot closer to us that some believe. They can think, learn, and suffer. They are sentient beings. Hopefully one day they won’t be considered property so we can afford them greater protections.

It’s good when you put it in that perspective.

Of course we are Americans, the more we get the more we want. LOL There are so many changes I’d like to see in Animal Welfare and not just for domestic animals.
