And honestly, I can tell you which grain free ones are which. The names just become part of the charm. LOL

I also love the ingredients. Not only human grade, but non GMO veggies and many organic products.

BTW, LOVE the video. Way better than my first attempt which was a half blurry video of a bouncing puppy. LOL

Pamela – The company, if you call, will tell you that some dogs like their Honest Kitchen more soupy and some like their Honest Kitchen more dry depending if they add other foods (veggies, meats) or not. The 1.5 mix of water is their ‘average’ recommendation. As my dog Reba got older I made her a bit more soupy. She lived to a little over 17 years and I attribute her longevity my switching her off of Hills Sci Diet to The Honest Kitchen and other small raw brands I would mix with it when she was 10 years old

I’m with you on the sourcing of the animals who give their lives for food. It’s not something I see discussed very often in regards to pet foods.

Someday, dog and cat lovers will need to have some very hard conversations about the relationship between livestock animals and pet animals.

Because I have the memory of preparing dog food from scratch in big batches, I didn’t find THK terribly inconvenient. And even Honey’s current food, I cut up and put into a Kong.

But you’re right. There is nothing like kibble for fast food. There have been days I considered eating it myself–especially when I’m hungry and don’t want to heat up the kitchen. :0

Hope Li’l Girl and Austin enjoy it as much as Honey did.

BTW, you have no idea how good Honey is. She sat on that pillow for multiple takes and camera angles. I think she proved her Canine Good Citizen certification that day! 🙂

The Honest Kitchen had a fairly recent recall for parsley contaminated with Salmonella. It’s why I don’t get quite as excited about “human grade” as some people do. This is a problem with the human food supply as well.
