Wish I could get a photo — let alone a video — of my work with the dogs; but I do most of it outside in the backyard and my tripod’s not stable enough on our un-level ground. (I truly believe that there is not even one level spot on our entire piece of property, including inside the house!). Anyway, I wrote a post yesterday about the training…maybe I’ll tie it into the “blog hop” somehow.

Woof! Woof! WOW a parrot… how cool! My mom been training me to BALANCE stuffs on my head. It started 2010. We did several blog posts this week. One of my balancing treats photo was featured in a book and we had a FUN photo balancing on our Tasty Tuesday post. Will to do a post on how I did? Lots of Golden Woofs, Sugar

Yay for Honey! I bet she’s enjoying being more mobile.

Thanks for sharing Eco’s video. My favorite part is when he knocks the bank and flies away because he scared himself. Then he comes back. My goal is to always keep the training positive and him doing that meant I’ve gotten better at doing it.

I can’t wait to see the Training Your spouse videos!

Thanks for sharing the cute videos. I think I saw Kristine’s last year, but I know I never saw the parrot. 🙂

Toby has always found training as fun, and once Meadow stopped being so afraid, she started to enjoy it, and I can confidently say she loves it now. Leah is funny with it. She hates repetition, and in the past she would rather patrol the yard or lay watchfully in the shade than be involved in any training. Even when she did Nose Works, sometimes she has fun, other times she’d rather sniff around and “mark’ her territory.

With that said, lately she has been wanting to be more involved when I am training the other dogs. It could also be a jealousy thing, but at her age, I indulge her. 🙂

Holy smack! I was working on training my dogs to do nothing (they’re practicing right now) but it looks like I’m going to have to up my game with two over achievers like that!

I just wonder where everyone finds the time to get their training in? Time is a big factor for me.

I would love to have a ton of cool trick Koly could do (and a camera good enough to capture them). We’re happy to report our training goal is coming along nicely. I might get to sleep in until dawn tomorrow…if I’m lucky ;0)

Unbelievable…I feel good if I can get the dog to shake paws…and then i see what Dawn & Kristin are doing and feel kind of silly…they are training superstars

My dog is pretty good about training. As long as food is involved. However, one of my cats is so food motivated, that he’s as likely to bit my finger as not. The other cat is not food motivated at all. But several years ago I was able to ‘train’ her to jump onto my desk so that I can brush her. She still enjoys her twice daily grooming!
