Our class is very basic and just starting with treat finding. I was really hoping we’d get to the point of pairing a different scent with treats but I don’t think we’ll make that leap in this class.

I’ll definitely get something up (if I can figure out the technology–just how do you link a PDF to a web page?) and I hope you’ll add your knowledge to the experience.

BTW, I read about Scent and the Scenting Dog over at your blog. I’ll definitely look it up.

If you’re playing sniffing games around the house, Shiva is probably already at the point we’ve reached in the class.

I saw that the teacher is offering another beginning class in two weeks so maybe they’ll have enough interest for an advanced class soon and then we’ll really get cooking!

Those are some great reason’s to start nose work. I hope people will try, dogs really love it. Looking forward to your PDF with instructions.

I would definitely be interested. We’ve only done some nose work around the house and that has been a lot of fun. I can see a class being great for all the reasons you outlined above. I didn’t know pugs were able to smell as well as other dogs either. That’s so cool!

I love the mental image of Honey’s victory lap around the room. What a happy dog she is.
