I have a dislike of Valentine’s Day for a very personal and selfish reason: I was born on this day, so I’d like it to be mine alone 🙂 I’ve never looked at it as presented in your post…But I agree, it could make single people (or those in unhappy relationships) feel bad…Choosing to celebrate this day with our beloved pets is a great idea. At the end of the day, few people can love us like they do 🙂

When I was single I used to celebrate by going out to a fancy dinner all by myself, with wine and everything. Even when I wasn’t single I kept up the tradition for several years. It used to be a day just for me to enjoy my own company. I don’t know why I stopped.
