Tue Cute Tuesday – Fuzzy Belly

My husband loves carrying Honey around. He picks her up, carries her around, cuddles her on his lap. I wonder if he thinks it’s more macho if your lap dog weighs 50 pounds?

This does give me a better view of the computer screen but I'm feeling a little exposed.

  1. That photo is adorable! I love that Honey clearly loves being handled in such a way. Larger dogs tend not to enjoy being picked up. Honey looks like there is no place she would rather be.

    • I’m not going so far as to say Honey loves it. But I think she loves playing with Mike and understands that goofy, quiet, cuddly time follows lots of fun wrestling and tug.

  2. Lol, that’s cute. Frankie like to lie like that on me when I’m at the computer and then he can also admire himself in the mirror on the wall when I swivel around:) But sit on my lap, no way. He’s a pig dog, not a lap dog! Honey looks very pleased with herself, smug even;)

  3. Haha that’s adorable! Emma swears she’s a lapdog – it’s her favorite place to be.

    • I wonder if it’s a way of remembering puppyhood. You know how puppies kinda pile on top of each other to sleep?

  4. I blew up the picture to see if Honey was being too risqué. It’s okay. I think she’s maybe PG rated.

I tried picking Georgia up today. I managed to lift her toes 15cm off the floor in a crouch position. Heave ho not. I don’t think she felt very safe in my arms.

    • Don’t try to life Georgia too much. She might call herself your fitness coach and start charging you for personal training. :)

I think all the long hair is keeping Honey from being too risque’. If I get a call from the sex police, I may have to add a little black bikini.

  5. she certainly is skilled at being a lap dog. some dogs seem to wiggle and squirm and lick, but honey looks so content to be carried around and flopped onto a lap!

  6. It’s not fair that little dogs get all that great lapdog attention.

  7. That’s great! I love it when big dogs think they’re lap dogs – or two corgis with the combined weight of one really big dog think they belong on the same lap at the same time. :)

  8. Honey looks like she’s ready to start the next part of her training where she rings a little bell and your husband comes running with whatever she might want! They look like quite a pair. One of these days, I’ll post a picture of Morgan sitting in my husband’s lap!

  9. So funny!

  10. BOL!! That is just too cute! I can’t believe your husband carries her around. That’s too funny!!

  11. Elizabeth says:

My husband does the same thing to Luna! :)

  12. Oh, that sure looks like love. There’s nothing wrong with a big baby sharing a cuddle with her dad.
George sometimes thinks he’s a lap dog and tries to make himself small enough to fit on my lap. Which he doesn’t stand a chance to ever achieve, not with his long legs. He still gets his cuddles, though.
    Lovely photo x

  13. LOL! Honey looks perfectly comfortable!
