Muddy Paw Prints – (Almost) Wordless Wednesday

Every morning it snows.

Every afternoon the snow melts.

The yard is a mucky mess.

I’ve found muddy paw prints on the following places:

  • couch
  • bedspread
  • open door of the dishwasher
  • my jacket sleeve
  • and, my dog.
Honey the Golden Retriever needs a bath.

Please, for the love of Dog, bathe me now!

Now how did that happen?

Honey the Golden Retriever wrestles with Bandit the foster puppy.

Bandit: I’m the baddest puppy in the land.
Honey: Maybe your breath.

Oh, now I understand.

Where’s the strangest place you ever found muddy footprints?

  1. Mud glorious mud. Our park is just one big muddy field. Hurry up Spring to we can say goodbye to those endless dog towels.
    Have a wonderful Wednesday.
    Best wishes Molly

  2. I recon all us animal owners know exactly what you’re talking about. Can’t think of anywhere I haven’t found paw prints. Love that last photo

  3. Does this mean I should be grateful that the first day of spring is cold and snowy? It’s been 40 years since we have had a spring this cold (it is currently 7 degrees outside). I know I’ll probably complain when I get the mud, but right now it looks heavenly. Have fun Honey and Bandit!

  4. was just saying yesterday how Dakota is in dire need of grooming…with the weather forecast of MORE SNOW and rain I am thinking of waiting just a bit longer

  5. Nothing like a mud bath to help the complexion! lol It can’t last forever, right? Tell me it’s not going to last forever!

  6. Luckily our pups aren’t wrestling out in the yard, but there are some walks where they have to be hosed off and then some walks where they go right in the tub.

  7. I don’t know that we have found paw prints in any strange places but we are certainly finding them in the same places you are!

  8. Awww, mud. the wonderful gift to dog moms everywhere.

  9. Hehehe Bandit and Honey look like they’re having great fun!
Our garden is a bit mud slide, mummy’s not too impressed with that though

  10. They look so cute playing together!

  11. Some doggies are having fun!

  12. Sue at The Golden Life says:

The “strangest” place where I’ve found muddy paw prints? How about the front of the washing machine and/or dryer? Yup, both are right inside the back door, and both Callie & Shadow like to lay down in front of them to have their feet wiped off. Half of our back yard is mud puddle during a rain storm, and it runs right under the porch door to flood the porch. The other half is a weed farm. At least the weeds are green, though! I’ve had to wear my winter boots outside in the middle of a summer storm to keep from getting my feet soaked.

  13. Woof! Woof! One reason I am always wearing my Purple PAWZ. Happy BlogPAWS WW. Lots of Golden Woofs, Sugar

  14. looks like (messy) fun!

  15. LOL LOve it!

  16. Hee hee . .she looks a little sad, is it because a bath is coming?? I bet she is having a great time playing with her puppy friend!

  17. Hurley goes far beyond muddy paw prints. He smears it on all the appliances and even the wall sometimes. We have a Hurley-level mud smear on most everything. And it rains 9 months out of the year here!

  18. Oh goodness. Ugh – mud. Fun for the dogs, not so much for the humans!
I’ve found muddy paw prints in all the ol’ familiar places – the jacket, the jeans, the bed spread, the sofa, the floor!

  19. LOL! Maya & Pierson have enjoyed rolling around in the mud too. It makes me wish I were a dog so I could get away with it. Instead of wishing for a bath, I’m sure Honey is wondering why us humans have to be so picky about a little dirt? 😉

  20. Inside the dishwasher? That beats anything I’ve found…At least the mud means Spring is coming soon

  21. I think my prissy little boy, Max would rather die that get mudd or wet feet…guess I’m lucky there but then again….try to get him outside to pee when it’s raining…urr!

  22. We know way to much about mud this time of the year. The other day I had mud on my face from Sherman who was outside eating it and then came in and gave me kiss:) We deal with muddy paws and muddy slobber this time of the year.

  23. Spring is the worst time of year to keep a clean house! Between the mud and the blowing out of the winter coat … did you say muddy prints on the inside of the dishwasher door? BOL!!!

  24. Too cute! When I’m not the one having to bathe her. :-)

  25. There is some advantage to living in an apartment building. There’s an absorbent mat when you first walk in, there’s carpeting in the hallway and our apartment is at the other end of the hall. I get to run to the door which helps to dry my feet. Then mom wipes my paws off with baby wipes. (Yuk!) I’m 13, why does she use baby wipes instead of big boy wipes?

Oh, I forgot, I walk on cement; mom won’t take me to the park after the snow or rain.
