Last Chance to Enter Honey’s Holiday Happening Contest!

The last time I had my holiday here, I was only four months old. Now I'm a big girl.

Thank you every one who’s been playing Honey’s Holiday Happening Contest. If you’ve been following faithfully but could use a little help, I’ve posted some tips below that I originally shared on Twitter and Facebook.

But, if you’re new to our game, check out the rules along with clue #1, clue #2, clue #3, clue #4, and clue #5 to figure out where Honey went on vacation.

Finally, send your guess to me by email (check out my About page to find the address.)

Tomorrow I’ll have a drawing from all the correct answers I got by email for a $25 Amazon gift card. Here we go:

Clue #1’s Tip: The competition I mentioned has no bats. But it does feature flying critters. Enter the correct search terms in google, and you’ll get the answer at the very top.

Clue #2’s Tip: If you ask google the right question about the explorer with the unusual first name, you’ll get the answer from an online encyclopedia (but it will have a spelling error).

Clue #3’s Tip: Here’s an example (made-up) of a geographical feature with fish–Mount Sturgeon. What do you think the same feature without fish might be called?

Clue #4’s Tip: According to the lyrics, you travel through Ocean City, Sea Isle, Avalon, Stone Harbor, and Wildwood to get to Honey’s Holiday spot. But only, of course, if you were traveling south to get there.

Clue #5’s Tip: Are you kidding? This is so easy to research I can’t possibly make it any more straightforward.

So warm up your typing fingers, get googling, and figure out where Honey went on vacation. The deadline for sending your guess by email is Sunday morning, 9:00 a.m. Eastern Daylight Time in the U.S.
I’ll announce the winner on Monday, June 13. Good luck!
This is a blog hop. Hop on…

  1. Beautiful pics – thanks for sharing. I’m stopping by on the blog hop today – drop by my blog: to watch an awesome video on how some dedicated people in North Carolina are changing their state.

  2. So, I’m still not really sure. I was hoping I could wager a guess without the help of Google but apparently my US geography is not as good as I thought it was. I will have to lower myself to an internet search. *sigh*

Great contest, though. It’s been a lot of fun!

    • I don’t think anyone could guess the location without googling unless they knew the place very, very well. It’s not big or well-known enough in this country to find it any other way.

Besides, you of all people, should respect the power of good research. It’s a skill very few people have. :)

  3. Ha ha ha! I’m laughing about the research skill! I confess, I love to research, and I’m curious to see how it all happens on Monday!
