I’ve been humbled by some kind thoughts and recognition lately.
I appreciate her kindness but know that so many hardworking bloggers deserve the attention so much more. I’ve already nominated Edie Jarolim’s Will My Dog Hate Me and Roxanne Hawn’s Champion of My Heart and urge you to check them out and do the same.
I’ll be nominating a few of my other favorites before the nomination period ends in a couple weeks.
Second, I took the opportunity to point out just a few of my favorite blogs while I was on vacation. The always witty and clever Pup Fan over at I Still Want More Puppies (isn’t that just the best name ever?) returned the favor by praising my weekly feature, The Puppiness Project. She provided so many links and superlatives that anyone would wonder if she was on my payroll (Pssst, the sack of gold bullion and box of liver treats are on the way).
And finally, the wonderful and informative Sue of Greyhounds Can Sit has awarded me a Versatile Blogger Award. I’ll have to wait until the weekend to pass the award along. But I’m very thankful for the kind mention from a blogger who has really increased my enjoyment of greyhounds and is very generous in sharing her knowledge. Thanks to Sue, I now know what Happy Tail is. And it’s not nearly as fun as it sounds.
My normal reaction is such kind attention is to
- know that I don’t deserve it
- feel guilty for not being more deserving
- argue with myself for feeling guilty about something so silly.
I think this time I’ll take a page from Honey and just be thankful for all the wonderful things I’ve learned blogging, friends I’ve made, and enjoyment I’ve been given.
