Dogs Are Disgusting – Wordless Wednesday

Honey, my beautiful, dainty pup, is attracted to the most horrible things.

Sometimes, dogs are disgusting.

Honey the golden retrieve smells the pumpout station.

What is that captivating aroma?

Yep, it’s a big vacuum cleaner for sucking $h*t out of a boat holding tank. And Honey can’t get enough of it every time she walks by.

You’re disgusting, Honey.

Your Turn: What disgusting things does your dog just adore?

  1. Rolling in raccoon poop. Eeeew.

  2. BOL! We are laughing our a**e* off because whenever we are camping, I prefer to take a dump at the Dump Station. Great dogs think alike!

  3. Why are dogs attracted to that shit? LOl

  4. Anything rotting by the ocean

  5. Hahaha…. Shiner loves trash… she could rummage around in a dumpster all day if she were allowed.

  6. Dead/decaying animals. Our dogs snacked on a rabbit carcass for a week before I realized what they were doing and buried it. We have heron in our area and sometimes they drop a fish in the yard, our dogs roll all over that thing until it’s barely recognizable. I’ve come to know the signs of a shoulder/neck roll. It usually starts in the spring when everything is thawing out. It’s lovely.

Oh and Rodrigo ate a snack once and vomited it up in entrance of our house. I loved cleaning that up.

  7. Poop rolls – Harley is notorious about that!

  8. I think Haley’s the exception here, she rarely rolls in anything and isn’t overly attracted to nasty things. If there’s some of her poop in the yard that hasn’t been picked up yet, she tiptoes through the area like she’s disgusted to be near it, haha!

  9. I bet it smells wonderful!!!!!

  10. i’d probably want to check that out too

  11. Stetson loves cat poop!

  12. Rolling in anything that has a repulsive odor to humans!

  13. Blueberry is attracted to garbage cans, but that doesn’t disgust me as much as when she pulls a Yukon Cornelius and gently licks/tastes the pee mail she encounters. Sniff all you want, but for the love of Pete, don’t lick it!!!

Everyone knows Yukon Cornelius from Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, right?

  14. Chuleta loves rolling in deer poop. Why poop? Dogs are pretty gross. Thank goodness my sister is a groomer. 🙂

  15. Whereas most dogs sniff where other dogs have peed, Jedi feels the need to like it. Yuck.

  16. When we first adopted Ruby, she was attracted to the cat litter box. Won’t go into the details, but it wasn’t pretty.

  17. LOL! Ew, that IS gross, Honey.

  18. Honey’s sharp nose is nod bout drawn to strong scents like “upright eau de parfum.” No accounting for taste is there? 🙂

  19. Now that winter is here, it’s a race between me, Luke, and Cricket to see who can get the frozen poop cleaned up first (somehow they think frozen is better…I don’t know why). Ugh. 🙂

  20. I’m going to ask the bipeds to take me to find one of those – it sounds sniff worthy!

  21. Honey looks likes she’s about to say, “A dirty job but someone’s got to do it!” Here’s to a poo (in that respect of the word) free day I hope.

  22. Oh boy. My pretty mini dachshund has disgusting habits! She tears through the trash if its not secured… the other day she found avdaysvokd chicken kwg we died from her mouth. She loves anything greasy ( once ate a stick of butter than threw up on the carpet…) And she thought the litter box was a buffet! I have seen her sniff the cats butt after he poops with something like avarice. Yup we call her ” the Weiner hog” or ” miniature Mc Nasty”.
