Adoptable Oonagh

Adoptable Oonagh - Hound Mix at Tompkins County SPCA

I'm a sweet, shy girl who wants someone who will bond with me and care for me forever. I love other dogs but not as much as I love following my sniffer wherever it takes me. Wouldn't you love to explore the world with me?

Exciting News!

You may remember my post for the BISSELL-BlogPaws Blog Carnival in which I told the story of adopting Shadow from the Tompkins County SPCA in Casting a Long Shadow – A Pet Adoption Story.

Well, guess what? I was a runner-up in the contest winning a $1,000 grant for the Tompkins County SPCA. Hooray!

And the post I thought was a likely winner, Kim Clune’s tale of adopting her bird Beelzebub, was the other runner up.

But the grand prize winner of the carnival receiving a $2,500 grant for her Black & Orange Cat Foundation, is Robin Craft. You can read her fabulous post about the cat that inspired her to become a rescuer here.

Congratulations, Robin and Kim, for writing such great posts. And thank you to BlogPaws and BISSELL for hosting the carnival and making the gifts to our favorite animal organizations.

Oonagh is so cute. For some reason, beagles are one of the hardest dogs to adopt out in Nova Scotia shelters. It makes no sense to me. Who can resist those ears?
